- To renew your Real Estate License in the state of California, you are required to complete 45 hours of continuing education every 4 years.
- During your first renewal you must complete four separate three-hour continuing education courses approved by the Board in Ethics, Agency, Trust Fund Handling, and Fair Housing.
- Subsequent renewals will require 45 hours of continuing education. One six-hour survey course that will cover four mandatory subjects: Ethics, Agency, Trust Fund Handling, and Fair Housing. 18 hours must consist of consumer protection courses. The remaining 21 hours must be in either consumer service or consumer protection courses.
- The course provider will maintain a record of attendance of each participant, for a minimum of 5 years. They will provide certificate to attendee once course in completed. They must submit attendance verification to the Board upon the Boards request.
